After years of working hard to build up a successful business in England Neal is now an established and experienced ski instructor in the Swiss Alps.
His ski teaching career began on the artificial slopes of Sheffield Ski Village as a hobby. After qualifying to teach he spent his days off from work and some evenings teaching students from the local schools and universities. This turned into a passion and after talking to fellow instructors who were out in The Alps teaching on snow during the winter Neal decided to check it out for himself.
This meant working hard for a year and many weeks training on snow to eventually take and pass the British Association of Snowsports Instructors (BASI) exam . Although this was only a person goal to improve his skiing Neal decided to go out to Italy for 2 weeks and work for a company called Interski . This meant teaching a group of school children all day everyday for a whole week. This he found to be fun and very rewarding. At the end of the first week it was difficult to say goodbye having built up a rapport with the children . Its a good job Neal was wearing sunglasses so the children could'nt see the tears in his eyes.
From that moment Neal new that ski teaching was the thing in life he wanted to do.
A friend who qualified with Neal in Italy had a business in Verbier Switzerland, so Neal decided to visit him for a ski and look around. A job was available working for the Swiss Ski School in Verbier. So after organizing his business and life in England he went out to teach for a season in the Swiss Alps.
This proved to be the start of an adventure. After 2 very successful years teaching and training with the Swiss Ski School , Neal, together with a few other people founded a new ski school in Verbier called europeansnowsport . This school has been a great success delivering quality ski tuition in Switzerland with over 60 instructors. Neal is also owner and founder of www.verbierholidays.com , a small chalet company based in Verbier.
For 8 seasons now Neal has been teaching ski enthusiasts in Verbier with celebrities amongst his students. He has many regular clients returning year after year for lessons either for themselves or their children.
Clients include stars from TV and the world of sport including formula 1
